About Our Family

Welcome. Glad you stopped by here to get to know us!

The picture below is us as of October 2021. Waylon holding little baby Asa. Me, Hadassah, holding our youngest daughter Everly and Adeline all the way to the right. We are the Troyer family. We love animals, camping, skiing, rodeos, traveling, but most of all we love Jesus! If you don’t know him just ask us, we would love to tell you about him!

In March of 2021 we moved onto my family farm of about 82 acres in Walnut Creek, OH. We dream of filling this farm with all sorts of animals and making it our very own! We started with German Shepherds.

In February of 2018, Waylon surprised me with a Valentines Day gift that I had been dreaming of for a long time, a German Shepherd puppy!

And that began our life with this wonderful breed of dog that we have come to love so much.

Bailey came to be a part of our family 3 months before we had our first daughter, Adeline. So technically she was our first baby! She was such a great addition to our family. For more information about Bailey click the link below.

In March of 2021 we added another beautiful male German Shepherd, Ruger, to our family!

As of December 2021, Ruger is now 1 year old. To give you an idea of how big he is, here is a picture of our 4 year old daughter, Adeline with him.

No worries! He is a gentle giant and we love him very much. He is very friendly to strangers (unless you’re sneaking around our property in the middle of the night ;). For more info on Ruger click the link below.

We like to think we lead a pretty simple life here on our farm in Walnut Creek.

Waylon loves to fish, hunt frogs, grill and smoke meat in the summer. In the winter you can find him hunting, skiing and hopefully enjoying some vacation with the rest of us in Florida! He takes his girls with him everywhere and is teaching them the ropes in all of the different things he loves to do.

Waylon’s owns a construction business called Built Rite Buildings that is his full time job.

Adeline is a curious and smart little girl who loves to learn about new things! She LOVES to ask questions and never seems to run out of them. In the summer you can find her following around her dad as he does projects outside, riding her bike, and her favorite thing, going to rodeos. She dreams of one day becoming a trick rider and having her very own horse to ride!

In the winter she loves sledding, coloring, playing with play dough, and this past winter she tried skiing for the very first time and loved it!

Everly is 2 years old. She is small, but what she lacks in size she makes up for in personality. In the summer she loves to swim, fish, and catch fireflies! I will often find her in a corner drawing or reading books quietly.

She loves playing with her little brother and with her sister, but her favorite place to be is at her Grammy’s house helping her out with whatever she is baking or working on that day.

Asa is 9 months old as of July 2022. He is a little shy, but his sisters can normally get a smile out of him no matter what. He loves his daddy and gator rides, playing in the sandbox, eating and letting Ruger lick his hands and feet.

We’re excited to watch him grow and see his personality develop more and more.

I guess now it’s time for me to tell you a little about myself.

I am a stay at home mom who runs a bed & breakfast, does a little design work, and loves animals and living on a farm. Some things I love include learning about gardening from my mom and trying to develop my green thumb, writing and telling stories, organizing, spending time with my family friends, watching bull riding or rodeo, and traveling.

I am the third generation to live on this land and I am so excited that we could keep all the land together and use it for what it was intended. I get really excited when I think about the future of my family here.

I enjoy summer, but fall and winter and everything that comes with them are by far my favorite!
